Pure and ultrapure water system Barnstead™ LabTower™ EDI, ASTM I and II
The direct route from tap water to pure water (> 1 MOhm) and ultrapure water (18.2 MOhm).
Laboratory water supply for a requirement of up to 200 litres/day. The Thermo Scientific Barnstead LabTower EDI is a modular ultrapure water system specially developed for the functional and economical production of pure and ultrapure water. By combining various treatment technologies such as pre-treatment, reverse osmosis, electrodeionisation, ultrapure water module and UV lamp, the LabTower EDI produces ultrapure water that exceeds even the highest quality standards such as ASTM I, CAP, ISO 3696, CLSI and aqua purificata. A state-of-the-art microprocessor control system, the 100 litre pure water tank with residual emptying, a pressure pump and tank recirculation are already included as standard. Mounted on castors, the compact and stylish LabTower EDI is the ideal pure and ultrapure water supply for any laboratory. All LabTower EDI systems are supplied for immediate use with: Ultrapure water cartridge, RO membrane, RO pre-treatment filter (5 µm filter and water hardness stabiliser), EDI module, UV lamp, 0.2 µm final filter and pressure reducer.
- High-performance reverse osmosis module combined with an EDI module and an ultrapure water cartridge
- Type 1 ultrapure water withdrawal via the dispenser with final filter directly on the system
- Type 2 pure water can be drawn from the integrated 100-litre tank and is ideal for laboratory equipment such as autoclaves or dishwashers
- The tank is equipped with a tank volume display in per cent, a conical bottom drain for 100% residual emptying and a quality recirculation via UV lamp to ensure the tank water quality. Optional expansion options such as a sterile overflow, sterile aeration + CO2 adsorber, UV immersion tube system with 254 nm protect against decontamination and bacterial growth
- Individual adjustment of the volume stored in the tank via the control unit
- Laboratory-grade monitoring and documentation is made possible not only by our high-precision, temperature-compensated conductivity monitoring in accordance with USP 30 (645) with exact temperature display, but also by a potential-free contact and an RS-232 interface with connection option for an external data printer – validation and qualification documents are optionally available
- Choice of two systems with a capacity of 15 or 30 litres per hour
- Optional manual dispenser with 3 m flexible circulation line for remote dispensing of water. Kit includes a 0.2 µm final filter
